How To Serve
These Dumplings are super buttery with lots of cinnamon flavor and they’re best served warm with a big scoop of vanilla ice cream. Using refrigerated biscuit dough is a great shortcut. They make the recipe virtiually foolproof.
For even more flavor, you can try drizzling a little caramel sauce over them when you dish them up.

Storage
Best eaten shortly after it is made, but leftovers will keep in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3 days. Rewarm in the oven.

Steps

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

Peel, core and slice each apple into 5 rings.

Squeeze the lemon into a bowl, add water and submerge the apples to prevent them from turning brown.

Separate each biscuit into 2 layers

In a medium saucepan, bring 3/4 cup sugar, 1 cup water, butter, and vanilla to a boil. Keep warm.

Wrap a biscuit around each slice of apple, stretching it so that it will overlap on the opposite side. Press edges to seal.

Place seam side down in a 9x13-inch pan making 5 rows with 3 in each row. (You will have 1 biscuit piece leftover.)

Pour butter mixture on top. (there will be alot of liquid.)

Combine remaining 1/4 cup sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle on top.

Bake 35 minutes. Serve warm with ice cream.
