Fresh berries are also delicious as is apple butter. To really make them decadent, top them with a little whipped cream. Heavenly!
The yeast not only flavors the waffles, it gives them a little chewiness and really enhances the texture.

These Overnight Yeast Waffles are perfect for when you have overnight guests. There’s hardly any work to do in the morning and you can have hot waffles on the table in just minutes.
There’s only a teaspoon of sugar in the batter so you’ll want to give these waffles a heavy dousing with maple syrup.
Recipe Tip
Be sure the water and milk aren’t too hot. Any hotter than 115 degrees is likely to kill the yeast.
